There’s a nationwide recall on confectionary products sold at Walmart, Target, HyVee, Dollar General and more, according to the Food and Drug Administration.This is due to a possibleSalmonellacontamination.
The affected products were recalled due to a supplier’s notice of the possible contamination sent to the impacted brand, Palmer Candy. These products include yogurt-covered pretzels, white fudge cookies, drizzled caramel corn and other “white-coated” snacks and desserts. Over 30 different products are being recalled in 17 states, including:
If you have any of the above products on hand, dispose of them immediately or return to their place of purchase. While there are no illnesses connected to this recall,Salmonellainfection can be serious for young children, adults over 65 and those who are immunocompromised.Common symptoms include diarrhea, fever, stomach cramps and, in more severe cases, prolonged vomiting and dizziness.
