Is it really the holidays if a cheesy dish isn’t on the table? Whether it’s a pan of ooey-gooeymacaroni and cheeseor some creamy scalloped potatoes, cheese will always have a special place at my holiday dinner—or any dinner for that matter. This year, however, you’ll want to whip out your best serving boards, because Whole Foods just announced their eighth annual12 Days of Cheeseevent.
Every year, Whole Foods Market’s Specialty Cheese team (hello, dream job!) selects a collection of a dozen delicious cheeses from across the globe, and this year is no exception. From the herbaceous and floral Cypress Grove goat cheese to the award-winning, cave-aged Gruyère from Uplands, each one is the perfect addition to any party spread—plus they’re all on sale from December 13 to 24 (35% off if you’re a Prime member and 28% if you’re not).
The selection is diverse to say the least, and we’re so excited to use the Emmi Kaltbach Cave Aged Gruyère to makeButternut Squash Soup with Apple Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. And Vermont Creamery Bijou is just the cheese to stuff intobacon-wrapped dates. Better yet, it’s probably worth it to stock up on an array of cheeses to build our beautifulWinter Charcuterie Boardfor your next movie night or holiday party.
Stores will also offer a sampler bag of three of the featured cheeses along withSavannah Bee Whipped Honeyand crackers for $34.99. We agree with Whole Foods Market’s veteran cheese expert Cathy Strange that it would make a perfect host gift!
How to Build the Perfect Cheese Board
