If you recently bought baked goods from Wegmans’ in-store bakery, be advised that there’s avoluntary recallon their Outrageous Oat Cookies, according to the Food and Drug Administration. This is due to undeclared wheat in the product.

Check your cookie package as soon as possible and if it contains the recalled information, discard the cookies immediately if you or someone in your household has a wheat allergy. You can also return the product to its place of purchase for a full refund. There are no reported illnesses connected to this recall, but those with related allergies or sensitivities run the risk of serious reactions if they consume this product, likeanaphylaxis.

Common symptoms of an allergic reaction include hives, nausea or vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and, in more severe cases, tightness of the throat and cardiac arrest. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms after eating one of these oat cookies, call 911 immediately.
