According to the Food and Drug Administration, there’s anactive recallon store-brand hummus sold at Wegmans. This is due to an undeclared sesame allergen in the product.
The recalled hummus has a lot number of 240239 or 240309 stamped on the top, side and bottom labels. The affected products also display one of the following expiration dates on the side of the package: 03/19/2024 or 03/26/2024.
If your harissa hummus matches the above recall information, the recall urges you to return it to your place of purchase for a full refund. While there are no illnesses currently connected to this recall, those with a sesame allergy could experience a severe allergic reaction if they eat this product.Signs of anaphylaxisinclude hives, trouble breathing, tightness in the throat, nausea and vomiting. If you or a loved one are experiencing serious symptoms after consuming this product, call 911 immediately.
