There’s an active recall on frozen chicken empanadas sold at Walmart locations nationwide, according to the Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.This is due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen.

Check your freezer for the recalled product, and if your frozen empanadas match the above information, dispose of them or return to your local Walmart for a refund. People who consume the recalled product and are allergic to dairy may experience a reaction as severe as anaphylaxis, including symptoms like hives, vomiting, stomach cramps, diarrhea, tightness of the throat, trouble breathing or cardiac arrest.If you are experiencing any of these symptoms after eating the affected empanadas, call 911 immediately.
