The Food and Drug Administration just announced a recall on broccoli florets sold at Walmart locations in 20 states.This is due to a possibleListeria monocytogenescontamination.
Check your freezer and if you have the recalled produce on hand, dispose of it or return to your local Walmart for a refund. There are no illnesses connected to this recall, butListeriainfection (also called listeriosis) can be serious for those who are age 65 or older, immunocompromised or pregnant and for young children.Common symptoms of listeriosisinclude fever, nausea, vomiting, muscle aches and diarrhea. If you are experiencing these signs, contact your health care provider immediately.
