If you bought fresh-cut fruit at a Trader Joe’s store in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina or Tennessee, your product may be affected—here’s the list of recalled TJ’s items:
If you bought fresh-cut fruit at a Sprouts Market in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina or South Carolina, check the fridge or freezer for these five recalled items:
The recalled Kroger items have lot codes of GHGA 297, GHGA 298, GHGA 303 or GHGA 304. Kroger items will appear unbranded—they don’t have any logos on them—so try to remember where that fruit in the freezer came from.
In some cases,Salmonellaexposure can cause fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain. To be safe, you should wash your hands after disposing of the fruit or returning it to a store. Folks with compromised immune systems, including children and older people, should be especially careful to limit theirSalmonellarisk. The effects could be severe or even fatal.
