During the new coronavirus outbreak, everyone in the U.S. has been advised to practice social distancing in order to slow the spread of the virus (aka “flatten the curve”). While grocery stores have been picked over and you’re (probably) relying on pantry staples and leftovers for meals, we thought it’d be fun to round up some of our favorite easy meals to make while you’re self-quarantining. The best part? All of these recipes can be customized for whatever veggies, grains, meat or beans you have on hand.
We tapped Valdosta, Georgia-based astrologer Kim Green to find out which quarantine meal is best for your zodiac sign—here’s what she said.

Cancer
Green says you’re a water sign, so you’re emotional, compassionate and family-oriented. She adds, “Cancers are the mother sign of the zodiac.” This dish is the ultimate comfort food to serve your loved ones (which is what we know you’re most concerned with right now!). Use whatever cooked pasta you have, and feel free to swap in ground turkey for the beef—or skip the meat altogether if you prefer a vegetarian version. If you don’t have canned tomatoes, jarred tomato sauce would also be delicious in this recipe!

Leo
Green says Leos are known for being bright and lively, so we wanted to find a recipe that matched that in terms of flavor. Green says, “Leo rules over lemon, dill and fennel,” which are all ingredients in this zesty and herbaceous soup. Sub orzo for rice or pasta and toss in any leftover herbs or veggies you have on hand to make this soup as individual as you, Leo!

Virgo
Green says, “Grains and chicken both fall under Virgo’s rulership, and their sign is known for being very health-conscious.” Virgos will appreciate all of the healthy, nourishing veggies and lean protein in this soup.

Libra
Acidic tomatoes, heavy cream and silky eggs combine to create perfect texture and flavor in this simple skillet dinner, which appeals to Libra’s need for balance. Not to mention, “Libras appreciate beautiful things,” Green says, and this Instagram-worthy dish fits the bill perfectly.

Scorpio
Green says, “Scorpios are very deep people,” so they need a dish with layers of flavor to match their depth. Smoky, spicy and earthy flavors abound in this Southwestern soup. Don’t have barley? Swap in rice, buckwheat or quinoa.

Sagittarius
“Sagittarians love to travel, and they enjoy foods from distant places,” Green says. Couscous, a staple in North African and Middle Eastern cooking, is a quick and tasty way to travel without leaving your living room. Plus, couscous is a totally customizable base for whatever worldly flavors you’re craving (think: Indian spices and chickpeas orbulgogi beefand veggies).

Capricorn
Green says, “Capricorn rules over our 10th house, which represents our career and work.” Though you may not be heading into the office, Capricorn, you can still enjoy the most important meal of the day! We opted for an omelet with goat cheese, since your sign’s symbol is the goat, but you can make this omelet with whatever cheese, veggies, meat or herbs you have at home.

Aquarius
“Aquarians are very individualistic, and they like variety,” Green says. Your march-to-the-beat-of-your-own-drum attitude makes you extremely inventive, which is why we gave you one of our most funky and creative recipes: Spaghetti Frittata!

Pisces
Green says, “Pisces' symbol is two fish swimming in opposite directions, which means Pisceans can often feel conflicted and need something comforting to help them self-soothe.” Turn to one of our favorite fish recipes—salmon cakes! You can use canned salmon or leftover fresh salmon for an easy, comforting meal the whole family will love.
