DirectionsPreheat oven to 350°F. Spread bread on a large rimmed baking sheet and bake until lightly toasted, about 15 minutes.Meanwhile, heat oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until no longer pink, about 4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon to a medium bowl.Add celery and onion. Cook, stirring, until softened, about 5 minutes. Add apple and cook, stirring, until tender, about 5 minutes more. Transfer to the bowl with the sausage.Add the toasted bread, herbs and salt to the bowl. Toss well. Drizzle broth and butter over the mixture and toss gently until evenly moistened. Divide the mixture between 2 6- to 8-ounce ramekins.Cover the ramekins with foil. Place on a baking sheet and bake until heated through, about 30 minutes.
