DirectionsTo prepare simple syrup: Heat sugar, water and 10 sage leaves in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Strain and refrigerate until chilled, about 30 minutes, and up to 2 weeks.To prepare cocktail: Fill a shaker half full with ice. Add sage leaves and use a muddler (or the back of a wooden spoon) to muddle the sage with the ice. Add gin, simple syrup and lemon juice and fill with ice. Cover tightly and shake well.
