The Food and Drug Administration just announced an active recall on aShopRitestore-brand soup product.This is due to an undeclared allergen.
Nationwide Recalls on Cheese, Coffee Creamer and More to Be Aware of Right Now
The soup mix was distributed and sold in ShopRite locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and potentially other states. The company became aware of the mispackaging after a customer complaint. However, no illnesses have yet to be connected to this recall.
People who consume this product and have a sensitivity or allergy to eggs may experience a reaction, even as severe as anaphylaxis. Signs of anaphylaxis include hives, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and, in the most severe cases, tightness of the throat or cardiac arrest.If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms after eating this product, call 911 immediately.
