Rachael Narins is a chef, recipe developer, and writer based in Los Angeles. She’s also the founder of Chicks with Knives, a culinary event and consulting company.

A graduate of the California Culinary Academy, she worked in restaurants as a line cook before coming to her senses and taking a position at the Center for Culinary Development in San Francisco. There she contributed to developing culinary products for clients such as Dole, Burger King, and Weight Watchers. She then transitioned to Ketchum Food Marketing where she worked with Kikkoman, The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, and others.

Her writing, recipes and photography have appeared in USA Today, Allrecipes, The Guardian, The Nosher, Simply Recipes, Reader’s Digest and many more.

A passionate advocate for food justice causes, most notably as a volunteer Master Gardener and Master Food Preserver, Rachael works with underserved communities to increase access to healthy food.

When not cooking or writing, Rachael plots trips to France, attends art shows and remains on an endless quest to find new uses for the limes from her abundant tree.
