Ventura Foodsjust announced a recall of theirPublix Deli Carolina-Style Mustard BBQ Sauce Cupsdue to a potential anchovy allergen that is undeclared on the label.
According to theFood and Drug Administration, no illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported.Publixis urging customers who purchased the product to discard it immediately or return the product to their local Publix for a full refund.
Anaphylaxisis life-threatening and can come on suddenly and progress rapidly, notes the ACAAI. Signs you may be experiencing an anaphylactic reaction include hives or swelling, tightness of the throat, hoarse voice, nausea and/or vomiting and more. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, call 911 immediately.
