There’s an active recall on two Planters peanut products, according to the Food and Drug Administration.This is due to a possibleListeria monocytogenescontamination.
The recall impacts the following products:

The affected products were shipped and sold in Publix locations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina as well as Dollar Tree stores in Georgia and South Carolina. No other Planters products are currently included in this recall, but if you have one of the above recalled packages or cans, dispose of it immediately or return to your place of purchase for an exchange or refund.
Listeria monocytogeneinfection (aka listeriosis) can be a serious foodborne illness for those age 65 or older, young children or immunocompromised individuals.Common symptoms of listeriosis include high fever, severe headache, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and more. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms after consuming the above recalled products, contact your health care provider as soon as possible.
