There’s an active recall on Pistachio Dubai Chocolate, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.This is due to aSalmonellacontamination.
The Oasis Treasures brand pistachio chocolate product was sold online as well as in showcase stores in the following Canadian provinces and territories: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan and Yukon.
If your chocolate matches the above recalled information, dispose of it immediately or return it for a refund. While there are no illnesses connected to this recall,Salmonellainfection—also called salmonellosis—can cause symptoms including diarrhea, fever, stomach cramps, headaches, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite. These symptoms may last up to seven days after infection, and they can be more serious for those who are age 65 or older, pregnant or immunocompromised, and for young children. Contact your health care provider if you’re experiencing signs of salmonellosis after eating the recalled chocolate.
