Well-known portable blender brand BlendJet is recalling about 4.8 million BlendJet 2 blenders, due to electrical and mechanical malfunctions.

This recall affects all BlendJet 2 portable blenders, except those with a serial number that begins with 5543 or higher, as those already feature the updated base. The recalled products were sold at popular stores like Target, Walmart and Kohl’s across the U.S., as well as online at sites like Amazon.

In order to request a replacement blender base, BlendJet states that customers “will need to remove and cut the rubber seal from the base of the recalled BlendJet 2 into three or more pieces and send a photo showing the serial number on the bottom of the unit and its rubber seal in pieces to BlendJet.”

For more information on this recall or to request a replacement base, call BlendJet’s toll-free number, 844-334-0562 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit the BlendJetSafety and Recallsite.
