AtEatingWell, we make it a priority to keep you informed of any new recalls so that you can be aware of precautions and safety measures that can help you avoid any potential illness. From cheese and coffee creamer to frozen waffles, make sure to check your kitchen for these recently recalled items.
Why Are There So Many Recalls Right Now? We Asked the FDA
1. Soft Cheese
According to the Food and Drug Administration, Savencia Cheese USA has issued a voluntary recall ofmultiple soft cheese productsdue to a potentialListeria monocytogenescontamination.
The impacted cheeses were sold at Aldi, Market Basket and other grocery stores across the country. Routine testing confirmed that processing equipment was contaminated, but fortunately, no illnesses have been reported.

2. Coffee Creamer
International Delight recalled approximately 10,794 bottles of newly releasedsugar-free coffee creamerafter they were found to contain sugar.
Although it is still safe to consume, consumers can return the product for a refund.
3. Butter
Costco announced a recall ontwo types of buttersold in Texas due to an undeclared allergen.
If you have a sensitivity or allergy to dairy, you are encouraged to return the product to your local Costco for a full refund. For questions or concerns about this recall, contact your local FDA Complaint Coordinator.
4. Bread
Various brands ofbread and bunsin Canada were recalled due to pieces of metal being found in the product, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
The impacted bread was sold in Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario and Quebec, and includes popular brands such as Country Harvest, Great Value and Wonder. No illnesses have been reported due to the recall.
If you purchased any of the recalled bread, you should return it to the place of purchase for a refund. For questions about this recall, contact the CFIA at 1-800-442-2342 or via email at information@inspection.gc.ca.
5. Salmon
Costco announced a recall onsmoked salmondue to potential contamination ofListeria monocytogenes.
If you purchased this product, you are advised to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. You can also contact Acme Smoked Fish Corp. at (718) 383-8585 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. 5. Frozen Waffles and Pancakes
Nearly 700 brands of frozen waffles and pancakes were recalled due to possibleListeria monocytogenescontamination.
TreeHouse Foods, Inc. recalled several varieties of frozen waffles and pancakes after routine testing confirmed a possibleListeriacontamination. The products were distributed across Canada and the United States to retailers including Target, Publix and Walmart. A complete list of the recalled products can be foundhere.
Consumers are encouraged to compare the “Best By” date, lot code and UPC to identify if their purchases are included and are also advised to return the recalled products for a full refund.
