The Nordic Ware Anniversary bundt pan is made from cast aluminum and is oven-safe up to 400°F. Garner uses the classic aluminum color in the video, but we like that the gold one is eye-catching and stands out among other pots and pans. As it turns out, Garner isn’t the only one who loves this pan. The bundt has hundreds of five-star ratings on Amazon, with oneshopper notingthat it’s “worth every cent.”
“The size couldn’t be more ideal,” a second Amazonbuyer said, adding that the resulting cakes look “extraordinarily beautiful.” The pan has a 6-cup capacity (the brand recommends filling it no more than three-quarters of the way to avoid overflow).
Just be sure to grease the pan well, as bundt pans like this one tend to stick to whatever you’re baking. As definitive proof that stars really are just like us, Garner struggled to remove the cake from her pan in her Instagram cooking video, breaking off the top of the bundt in the process. “Taste trumps beauty when I’m the baker,” she joked in the caption. Unsurprisingly, Garner had a clever solution to the mishap — dusting the top with powdered sugar to hide any imperfections.
To avoid the same fate, remember: More is more when it comes to spraying or buttering bundt pans, so reach into each and every nook and cranny before adding your cake batter. Or, listen to the advice ofone crafty commenter, who coats her pan with “homemade ‘cake goop’ using equal parts shortening, vegetable oil, and all-purpose flour.”
