Many New Yorkers know that summer in the Hamptons is the move. With this inspiring social media campaign continuing from 2021 into 2022, Garten seems to be on a mission to inspire all of her fans to head to the east end of Long Island’s South Fork to dip their toe into the seaside community’s waters (plus its culinary scene, local boutiques and more).

“I know the Hamptons has a reputation for being really ‘fancy,’ but what I love are the farm stands and local food shops. Here are some of my favorite places to visit,” Garten explains on herInstagram galleryabout thevacation guideshe pulled together for her Barefoot Contessa website in 2021.

The dreamy images inspired one fan to comment, “I need to come visit! Looks amazing,” to which Garten kindly replied, “Please come visit!! ❤️❤️❤️”

9 of the Best Places to Visit in the Hamptons, According to Ina Garten

“A lot of people ask about my favorite places to visit in the Hamptons,” Garten explains in her 2021 travel guide. “‘The Hamptons’ is actually a string of historic villages including East Hampton, Bridgehampton and Southampton on the south coast of Long Island, and each town has its own special character.” While there are so many must-stop spots “that I can’t possibly list them all,” according to Garten, “here’s a list of some of my favorites!”

Breakfast: Carissa’s the Bakery

One of Garten’s fans accurately assesses the scene on her Instagram guide, noting, “A bread shop in the Hamptons is another version of heaven.” We wholeheartedly agree, especially when it’sCarissa’s the Bakery, the shop that Garten deems “my favorite for breakfast, lunch or takeout. Love the pastries, breads and shakshuka.”

Snack: Cavnaiola’s Gourmet

For “gorgeous cheese,” Garten says, including her personal “obsession,” pecorino with truffles, don’t missCavaniola’s Gourmetin Sag Harbor and Amagansett. They also have plenty of crackers, desserts and other picnic building blocks if you’re in the mood to savor it all al fresco.

Lunch: Loaves & Fishes Specialty Food Store

TheLoaves & Fishesmenu had us at “Open-Faced Sandwich with Heirloom Tomatoes and Tarragon Mayonnaise” and “Fig and Ricotta Tart.” Swoon.

Known for their three-course, seafood-forward, locally sourced prix fixe dinners, we can already imagine pulling up a chair at this restaurant accurately named for its location in a home built in 1770. 🤯 (You can also book a room in the hotel portion of the space to make the1770 Houseyour Hamptons home away from home!)

Stay: Topping Rose House

Shop: Round Swamp Farm and Pike Farms

Then keep the ingredient investment-palooza going atPike Farmsin Sagaponack. This is where “the best corn on the planet” is hiding, according to Garten. They also sell canned produce to keep the summer vibes going all year as well as local honey. (Talk about perfect souvenirs!)

Visit: Amber Waves Farm Stand

This female-owned nonprofit uses sustainable practices to grow the produce for their CSA shares and farm stand. Plus,Amber Waves Farm Standoffers programming to connect kids (and kids at heart) to local foodways and the environment through pizza nights, outdoor dinners, interactive workshops and more.

Treat Yourself: Sag Harbor Florist
