Gifting season is creeping up on us, fast. And this year, it’s even more important for me to shop for wishlist items at a discount (especially as a shopping writer). If you’re anything like me, you probably don’t want to wait until the last minute. Luckily, there are so many early Black Friday deals to pick from right now. I went ahead and gathered up some of my already well-loved kitchen and lifestyle goodies that I think will make perfect gifts for anyone on your list. The list includes everything fromLe Creuset Dutch ovenstocozy blanketsfrom West Elm, and there are even someBrooks sneakerson there, all up to 48% off.
Fellow Opus Conical Burr Grinder
Fellow
$195$159 at Fellowproducts.com
I’ve always really enjoyed the process of making my coffee at home. I started to grind my own beans a few years ago in order to perfect my routine even more. When I upgraded to this Fellow grinder (the brand sent it for testing prior to its launch) my coffee vastly improved. Because of how thought out this grinder is, it really helps preserve and almost maximize the flavor of your beans no matter how you choose to brew it. It has a dial on the front to toggle between coarseness, from one to 11 (with notches in between for even more exactness). It uses burr blades to grind the beans, which I prefer, since it helps extract and protect the coffee beans composition (as opposed to slicing blades). It’s incredibly sleek on my countertop, which is key since it never leaves it.

Outdoor Voices Rec Ankle Sock
Outside Voices
$12$8 at Outdoorvoices.com
I love and wear a lot of activewear from Outdoor Voices (I have my eye onthis fleece jacketright now), but the socks are something I chuck on the most. You wouldn’t think they’d be so impactful, but a good sock for working out can actually make a massive difference. These ankle socks are incredibly plush and soft, which adds an extra layer of cushion and protection around my heel and ankle, so my skin never gets irritated no matter what the workout is. They are also great at absorbing moisture while also remaining breathable. The brand has other socks availableon the website too that are well worth checking out. They always come in fun colorways that change regularly, so I’m often checking up to collect a new pair or two. You can save 40% off on the entire site right now with the codeHOLIDAY2023. Things tend to sell out quickly though, so I’d hurry if I were you.
Haand Ripple Large Pasta Bowl
Haand
$44$36 at Haand.us
I’m a pasta bowl collector, and this pasta bowl from Haand is one of my favorites. I love the Ripple collection from the brand for its organic, almost imperfect look and feel, and this bowl has all of those features. Aside from the beautiful craftsmanship and colors, it’s a wonderful size and shape at 20 ounces. It fits everything from pasta, to salad, to soup, stews and more. You can shop it in single pieces or as a set of four. While the bowls are expensive, everything is made from hand from start to finish in Burlington, North Carolina. They’re incredibly durable and add such a high-quality look to my dinner table. The brand rarely has sales, but you can shop the entire site 20% off right now.
Haand Ripple Dinner Plate
$50$26 at Haand.us
This is my other favorite piece from Haand (the pasta bowl and this plate are tied in my eyes). The way I love to use these plates is a bit niche, however. It is my favorite way to serve cakes at home during birthdays, holidays, or events. I love the dish’s irregular border, it creates a lot of design intrigue to my cakes, which tend to look a little more rustic (read: messy). However, it’s generally very practical—it’s thin and takes up minimal space, and the edges of the plate are fairly leveled, so there’s no wall you have to maneuver around as you slice and serve the cake. My favorite shade is fern, though I would own every color if I could.
Vitamix Explorian E310 Blender
Vitamix
$350$300 at Vitamix.com
When it comes to high price items, they really need to be something special or unique to justify the cost. And Vitamix blenders are one brand that truly can’t be beat. The models all have high powered bases that swirl everything into its blades in a mystifying vortex. Of all the ones I have tried (and I have tried several), I love this Explorian model. It’s the one I own in my own kitchen. It’s my favorite pick because it’s lower in cost and fairly straightforward to use without sacrificing any of the power. It comes with a 64-ounce pitcher that holds soups, sauces and dressings with ease. The motor base has all the controles you really need: a dial that ranges from speed one to speed 10, a pulsing switch for more control and a switch to turn it on or off. No frills or fuss, this is the best blender for beginners in my eyes, and makes the ideal Vitamix gift.

Le Creuset 3.5-Quart Signature Enameled Cast Iron Round Dutch Oven
Williams Sonoma
$360$250 at Williams Sonoma
This is another investment-worthy kitchen piece. There truly is something to be said about the quality of these Dutch ovens. I currently own one that’s been in use within my family for over 20 years, which is a true testament to its craftsmanship and durability. The cast iron heats up and holds heat evenly, and the enamel coating has stood the test of time. This 3.5-quart size is on sale in every color at Williams Sonoma. The round Dutch oven is virtually never on sale, especially in that many options, so it’s one piece you really don’t want to miss out on. My only advice (aside from picking it up) would be to choose the color carefully, since you’ll likely have it for decades.
Staub 11-Inch Enameled Cast Iron Traditional Deep Skillet
$250$180 at Williams Sonoma
I use this skillet almost every week, andI can’t get enough of it. It has all the perks of cooking on cast iron, with none of the fuss, since it’s enameled. I can achieve hard sear marks on everything from fish to caramelized apples. There’s minimal sticking too, especially if you use the right amount of oil. I love the 11-inch size, since it’s proven to be not too big or not too small for all of my cooking needs. I love the taller walls, and the pour spouts are great for draining hot grease after frying. It’s pricier, but not worrying about having to constantly oil it is priceless during busy work days and lazy weekends. I know it’ll last years to come.
Emile Henry Modern Classics 9-Inch French Ceramic Pie Dish
$50$40 at Williams Sonoma
This is a recent addition to my collection, and I’m so glad I bought it. It’s my perfect pie dish for a variety of reasons. I love its stoneware material, first and foremost. It heats up evenly and browns my crust just the right amount even during long bake times. The fillings (if they’re baked) get enough even heat to bubble and cook evenly and on par with the crust. The dish is a little deeper than other pie dishes I own, which to me makes for a more show stopping outcome. No matter what color you grab, it’s a chic piece to put in the center of the table.
Ateco 4.25-Inch Ultra Offset Spatula
Amazon
$9$6 at Amazon
This small, simple too is one of the most coveted pieces in my kitchen. Offset spatulas are key in general, but the small size of this one makes it very easy to control, especially for detail work. It has a flat stainless steel surface that dips down from the handle, making it the perfect tool to smooth ingredients with. When it comes to baking, I use it for a wide variety of tasks, like spreading icing, smoothing melted chocolate and leveling cake batter. I also love to use it to help release baked goods from their pans, since the thin shape can shimmy its way in between. It’s also key for savory things, like slathering bread with condiments, or even spreading casserole filing. For just under $6, it’s well worth grabbing.
ThermoPro Waterproof Digital Candy Thermometer
$37$24 at Amazon
Everyone who loves to bake or fry needs a candy thermometer. They’re different from a meat thermometer, as they were designed to hook onto pots or bowls to stay in place. This is so that you can constantly gauge the temperature, getting to the exact degree you need for perfect results. I recently replaced the one I owned previously with this model from ThermoPro. It has a big easy-to-read display that gauges the temperature in just a few seconds, which I love. It also hooks right onto pots easily. It does come with a temperature guide on the front, though I recommend sticking to whatever’s listed in your recipe first and foremost.
